SealSafe

SealSafe is a clear, water-based coating designed to make objects and materials fire-resistant. Due to its flexibility and high tensile strength, it's used to protect hard and flexible surfaces such as plastic, wood, natural, polyester canvas and upholstery.

Objects coated with SealSafe resist catching fire when exposed to an open flame. The coated object will continue to remain protected until the surrounding fire ceases. Not only is SealSafe fire-resistant, but it also provides built-in UV protection that prevents surfaces from fading or deteriorating. Its waterproofing property stops liquids from penetrating and staining the surface. And mildewcides also prevent the growth of mold and mildew.

SealSafe is an eco-friendly, biodegradable coating that is safe and easy to apply. It may be applied on a variety of surfaces such as patio furniture seating, draperies, awning, boat covers and more.

SealSafe Application

SealSafe may be applied by brush, roller or low pressure airless spray. One coat is usually sufficient. If a second coat is desired, allow the first coat to become tack free. At 77°F and 50% RH the coating should be dry to the touch in about 30 minutes or less. A full 72 hours curing time is required for optimal curing before subjecting the coating to heavy traffic. Prior to application make sure that the washed and cleaned surface is dry and free of pooled liquids. Do not apply at temperatures below 50°F or above 90°F. Do not apply under rainy and wet conditions. Avoid heavy buildup of the coating.

SealSafe Coverage

Coverage ranges from 250 sq. ft per gallon to 500 sq. ft. per gallon depending on type of surface and surface porosity. SealSafe goes on easily and dries to a clear, gloss finish. This high tech formulation not only offers protection from burning but also waterproofs and prevents staining from beverages, condiments, grease and other spills. Sealed objects can be rinsed or hosed down without fear of damage. Due to the waterproof nature of the coating, rinsed objects will not become water logged and will dry off much more quickly than normal. With proper application, this versatile and very effective product will extend the life and usefulness of treated objects.
