Lusterite is a milky, white coating that dries to a crystal clear, glossy finish. It does not get hazy or yellow over time; and allows metals to maintain an attractive appearance year after year with minimal effort. This eco-friendly, biodegradable coating may be easily applied using a soft bristle or sponge brush. Larger surfaces may also be sprayed or dipped, if necessary.
Lusterite contains biodegradable, non-hazardous ingredients that are safe to apply. And it is used to protect a wide range of metals including aluminum, brass, bronze, chrome, copper, gold, pewter, silver and stainless steel. .
Lusterite is packaged in 4 oz. and 8 oz. plastic bottles. Larger packaging sizes are also available. Lusterite can be applied by spraying or brushing. For the best results and finish, apply the Lusterite using a soft bristle or sponge brush. For durability and long-term protection apply a minimum of two coats. Allow the first coat to become dry to the touch before proceeding with the second coat. Lusterite will dry in 10 to 15 minutes at ambient temperatures of about 78°F and low humidity.
Optimal protective properties will be achieved in 48 hours. During application prevent the coating from getting on hands and clothing as the dry film is difficult to remove. Lusterite is completely water based and there are no odors, fumes or other hazzards associated with the liquid. Tools and work area can be quickly and easily rinsed with water. Prior to application make sure that the object to be coated and sealed is dry and free of dirt, grease and other contaminants. When spraying, make sure to protect surrounding areas from overspray. Wipe off excess and run off immediately with a damp rag or sponge.
