I write this letter to express my great satisfaction with the reflecting coating products I purchased from Carl Jacobs and his Company. As an engineer specializing in energy efficient technologies and applications, I have an ongoing interest in products that perform “as advertised” and result in genuine savings in terms of energy and costs and I am pleased to state that the ceramic coatings I received from Mr. Jacobs meet that criteria.
I’d like to offer the following example of the savings I experienced using Mr. Jacob’s products. Twelve years ago I remodeled a small home, adding a new bedroom and storage area. I increased the square footage of the house by approximately 35%. During the project, I became aware of reflective coatings during my research into energy efficient products and made the decision to coat both the roof and all exterior wall with “ceramic paint” also known as CeramiCoat. Just prior to using the coating in July 1991, the monthly electrical power bill was $110. I applied CeramiCoat to the roof and walls during the latter part of July. The very next month – August 1991 – the electric power bill fell to $60. Each summer thereafter, the power bills remained approximately near this level. It is worth noting that the first month’s reduction occurred with no appreciable change in the summer weather in our area – Las Vegas Nevada.
As an engineer, my interest in this technology was piqued considerably and in the ears since then, I have continued my research of these products which has resulted in my continued growing support for them. Even though some factors such as insulation, regional climate, internal heat generation and exterior shading (to name a few) can affect performance to some degree, it has been my experience that there is always a measurable savings to be realized when using reflective coatings on a home or commercial building.
Since my first purchase of ceramic paint, I have had the opportunity to coat the roof of a condominium I own and have recommended the product to and helped two other homeowners successfully coat their roof s with CeramiCoat. Also, since my first purchase, it has been my pleasure to become acquainted with Carl and is company and have found him to be a sincere and concerned businessman, interested in maintaining long lasting relationships. I would whole heartedly recommend Carl, his products and his company to anyone interested in making a substantial improvement in the energy efficiency of a home or building.
