The present letter is to communicate to you our experience with your insulating product CERAMICOAT K-21.
Because of the weather of the city of Maracay, we had difficulties in keeping a detergent mix in a storage tank of 40 tons, located outside, to an interior temperature of 86°F, when the exterior temperature measured up to 98°F.
To overcome this temperature, it supposes a higher risk of deterioration of the stored raw material of the 40 ton tank.
Evaluating the product of CERAMICOAT-K21, technical information and the proof with infrared lamps over surfaces with and without CERAMICOAT K-21, made at my office, we decided to apply it on the tank, getting the following results: Exterior temperature of 98°F - Interior temperature 84°F, values measured on same time every day, for 15 constant days. The dates measured were from the 17th to the 31st of March 1997.
The obtained results satisfied our necessities and the results made us apply the product on removal tubing on the rest of the storing tanks for this kind of raw material. As well as above, we had applied on one air conditioning duct, getting good results as thermal insulated and impermeability.
We will utilize CERAMICOAT K-21 on Acerolit roof (single ply) of a critical area in the plant; the object of lowering the transference of heat in the interior of the area and on the recovering of a/c ducts at our Food Plant.
