Liquiguard Technologies line of GripCote products represents the next generation of coating solutions to prevent movement or slipping on all types of un-anchored floor coverings, such as mats and carpets. GripCote coatings are composed of tough, durable polymers that create a strong bond with most materials. They don't require adhesive tapes, or other similar devices, and will not alter the material's original feel or flexibility.

From industrial floor mats, to area rugs, to carpet tiles, GripCote's coatings are applied to the underside of materials creating a flexible film that will not transfer to, or stain the flooring material. Once dried, the item may be lifted from the surface any number of times without ever losing its adhesion or harming the surface it is laid on. GripCote coatings are waterproof and will prevent the absorption water and liquid spills. They're designed for use in homes and commercial environments. The coatings also resist collecting dirt and other contaminates.

GripCote-X General Info

GripCote-X is a long lasting solution for preventing slip, trip and fall accidents on industrial and commercial floor matting. It's a dark, semi-vicious coating that's applied to the underside of rubber and PVC-backed mats to keep them in place in high indoor traffic, as well as covered, outdoor commercial environments. GripCote-X dries to a smooth, black-brown color without transferring through the surface. Instead, it creates a flexible, somewhat tacky layer that adheres to any surface without moving or sliding.

The mat may be removed from the surface at any time without ever losing adhesion. This is perfect for cleaning and remodeling, since the flexible layer does not stain or leave residue behind on any surface. Unlike double-sided tapes and anti slip mats which don't waterproof, GripCote-X waterproofs the coated layer and prevents floor mats from hydroplaning on wet surfaces. It also resists attracting dust, food and other contaminates. GripCote-X is an eco-friendly coating that is safe and easy to apply with no harmful fumes or odors.



GripCote-X Application

GripCote-X is easy to apply using a soft bristle or foam brush. Stir or shake the GripCote-X container well prior to use. The target surface should be free of dirt, debris and oil or grease, prior to application. The coating when wet has a brownish-blue appearance, applies easily and will dry to an almost black finish. For best results apply two coats; allow the first coat to dry partially before applying the second coat. Additional coats maybe applied for a more durable and 'rubbery' feel. Allow 24 hours or more for full cure before subjecting the article to heavy use. Do not apply at temperatures below 50°F. Avoid heavy buildup, puddling and repeated overlapping of GripCote.

    GripCote Hi-Tac General Info

    GripCote Hi-Tac has been formulated specifically for pre-sized, ready-to-assemble flooring and wallcoverings. It can be used on a wide variety of materials including carpet tiles, PVC and simulated wood flooring planks, firmly anchoring those surfaces to the substrate and effectively resolving the problem of dynamic load movement.

    GripCote Hi-Tac is a "releasable adhesive" which imparts a very tacky feel to the coated object and helps to hold it in place even on very smooth surfaces, including treated concrete, wood floors and particle board. It is an effective alternative to pressure- sensitive adhesives, tapes and similar products. GripCote Hi-Tac can be easily applied with a soft bristled brush, by spray or high-speed rollers in the manufacturing process as a final treatment.

    This benefit allows manufacturers the luxury of treating their product prior to shipping, offering end users quick, easy and effective installation on the job site. GripCote Hi-Tac is a white, viscous material that dries to a clear film which acts as a protective moisture and vapor barrier against dampness and fumes that may be released from an unsealed floor.

    GripCote Hi-Tac is easy to apply using a soft bristle or foam brush or via hot rolling process. Stir or shake the GripCote Hi-Tac container well prior to use. The target surface should be free of dirt, debris and oil or grease, prior to application. The coating has a milky appearance, applies easily and will dry to a clear finish. GripCote Hi-Tac coated object will be ready for use once the coating becomes totally clear. Allow 24 hours or more for full cure before subjecting the article to heavy use. Do not apply at temperatures below 50°F. Avoid heavy buildup, puddling and repeated overlapping of GripCote.

    GripCote ULTRA General Info

    GripCote Ultra has been formulated for application on tightly woven and artistic floor coverings. This includes Persian or Indian area rugs, hallway runners, wool and cotton throw rugs used indoors, on patios or other covered areas.

    GripCote Ultra will bond effectively with all substrates including carpet and will not transfer or leave residue on the contacting surface. In addition to firmly anchoring the floor coverings, GripCote Ultra's water and oil resistant structure will protect the coated surface from being damaged by liquid spills.

    GripCote Ultra replaces carpet pads, PVC underlayment, foam tapes and the like with a more effective and lasting non-slip coating. It is easy to apply using a soft bristle or foam brush or a tight nap roller and can also be sprayed when applied to large surface areas. GripCote Ultra is a white viscous material that will dry to a transparent and somewhat tacky finish once applied.
